Post-tournament:

A great day of competition at the Eastern Massachusetts State tournament at Quincy North High School, sponsored by Gillette and the Quincy Public schools!

Three rounds of competition seeded the teams by their highest score.  Both the Sharon Black Botz (high 200, 6th place) and the Fire Blazers (high 265, 4th place) advanced to the 16 team play-offs, where the top half of each tier would advance to the next.  The Fire Blazers and the Black Botz both had issues with a mission table that they were assigned to repeatedly.  Despite that, the Fire Blazers made it to the quarter finals, and the Black Botz became the top team on the field, winning the Robotic Performance award.

Pre-tournament: SYRA runoffs will be held on Tuesday 12-05-06 at the Girl Scout House to determine which two Sharon Eagle Robotics team will represent us at the Quincy/Gillette Eastern Massachusetts State FLL tournament to be held Saturday 12-09-06 from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

At the tournament, doors will open at 8:00am, with registration from 8:00 to 9:00am.  Opening ceremonies are at 9:00am, with both qualifying matches (high score of 3 rounds) and judging sessions from 9:30am to 12:30pm.  After a 30 minute break, the play-offs will run from 1:00 to 3:00pm (top 16, single elimination), followed by awards.  Food (AM coffee, juice & doughnuts; PM hot dogs, hamburgers and beverages) will be available in the cafeteria.

At registration, the team should have a participation fee of $40.00, four completed Team Introduction Forms (with team photo attached to each), and FLL Consent Forms for each team member and coach.  For teams that are not school-affiliated, a insurance waiver sheet must be submitted with your registration.  This is simply a list of all attendees, with their current insurance plans and policy numbers.
