The 2005 WPI Frontiers summer program (a super science and engineering for high school entering juniors and seniors) was held from July 10th - 22nd this summer, and among the many areas of study was Robotics.  This year this program used the new Vex Robotics kits as a prototyping platform, and patterned their final competition on the WPI 2004 "Intergalactic Savage Soccer Championship".

On Friday, July 22nd. delegations from the FLL/FVC team Sharon Eagle Robotics and the FLL team Funky Monkeys met in Alden Memorial Hall at WPI (Worcester Polytechnic Institute) to watch the final competition between 6 teams made up from the students participating in the WPI robotics track.  We were especially happy to cheer on Mike Adelson, one of our own Sharon Eagle Robotics FVC team members, who was participating in the Frontiers program this summer.  His team, the Crash Test Dummies, was victorious, winning the over-all competition.
